Re-fence awa running alongside Paora Aneti 17 & 18 (approximately 1000m)

Riparian plant re-fenced side of the awa and also side feeder waterway.

Stage Three: 2015 - Present
SHAMK kit training with whānau. Monitoring Location A (by willow tree) every season.

Stage Four: 2017 - 2018
Build shade house on Paora Aneti 17 & 18 papakāinga to engage whānau in propagating natives for future awa planting.
Funding sort and received for shade house (June 2017). Shade house built October 2017.
Stage Five: 2017 - 2019
Fence and riparian plant section of awa running alongside Mirikau Road.
Applying for funding for fencing: WWF - Funding approved and fence built! Ngā mihi nui ki a WWF.
Stage Six: 2018 - 2019
Whānau haerenga from top of Matanehunehu to the river mouth. Reconnecting, taking photos and checking on the state of the river.
Awa monitoring in three places along the river Location A (by willow tree) Location B (top point of awa, close to Tumahu), Location C (river mouth, Paora Rd) every season.
